Description

Delightfully rich and creamy Sugar Cookie Truffles made by blending sugar cookies with cream cheese, dipped in smooth white chocolate coating, and optionally decorated with colorful sprinkles. These bite-sized treats are perfect for parties, holidays, or an indulgent snack, offering a chewy, melt-in-your-mouth texture with a sweet vanilla flavor.

Ingredients

Scale

Base Ingredients

  • 30 sugar cookies (two 5-ounce bags of Pepperidge Farm sugar cookies)
  • 6 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Coating and Decoration

  • 1 to 2 bags (10 ounces) white chocolate melting wafers (Ghirardelli brand recommended)
  • Sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Make the Cookie Dough: Place the sugar cookies in a food processor or blender and blend until they become fine crumbs. Add the softened cream cheese and vanilla extract, then blend again until the mixture resembles a soft, pliable cookie dough.
  2. Form the Truffles: Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Using a small cookie scoop, portion out the dough and roll into smooth balls. Arrange them evenly on the prepared baking sheet. You should get approximately 22 truffles. Freeze the truffles for about 30 minutes or until they are firm to the touch.
  3. Dip in White Chocolate: Melt the white chocolate wafers according to package instructions until smooth and glossy. Using a fork, dip each frozen truffle into the melted chocolate, allowing any excess to drip off before placing it back onto the baking sheet. If desired, immediately add sprinkles before the chocolate sets. Once all truffles are coated and decorated, refrigerate until ready to serve.
  4. Storage: Store any leftover truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days to maintain freshness and texture.

Notes

  • Freezing the truffles before dipping helps the chocolate adhere better and prevents melting.
  • You can substitute other types of melting wafers such as dark or milk chocolate for different flavor variations.
  • For a firmer texture, use full-fat cream cheese and avoid over-blending the cookie crumbs.
  • Decorate with sprinkles immediately before the chocolate hardens for best adherence.
  • These truffles do not require baking and are a quick no-bake treat option.
