  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

BBQ Sauce:

  • 1 cup barbecue sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Prepare Chicken: Pat chicken pieces dry with paper towels.
  2. Season Chicken: In a large bowl, combine salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and olive oil. Rub mixture evenly over chicken.
  3. Preheat Grill: Preheat grill to medium heat (about 350–375°F).
  4. Prepare BBQ Sauce: In a small bowl, mix barbecue sauce, honey, and apple cider vinegar; set aside.
  5. Grill Chicken: Place chicken skin-side down on the grill and cook for 5–6 minutes per side, until browned.
  6. Finish Cooking: Move chicken to indirect heat, cover grill, and cook for 20–25 minutes, turning occasionally, until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  7. Glaze with BBQ Sauce: Brush generously with BBQ sauce mixture during the last 5 minutes of cooking.
  8. Serve: Remove from grill, rest for 5 minutes, and serve with extra sauce on the side.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate chicken in half of the BBQ sauce mixture for 2–4 hours before grilling.
