Instructions

  1. Boil Water with Cinnamon: In a saucepan, bring 2 cups of water and 3 cinnamon sticks to a boil over medium heat. This will infuse the water with the warm, aromatic flavor of cinnamon.
  2. Steep the Tea: Remove the saucepan from heat and immediately add 3 black tea bags (or 1 tablespoon of loose-leaf black tea). Cover the pan to trap the heat and let the tea steep for 7 minutes to extract rich tea flavor blended with cinnamon. After steeping, remove and discard the tea bags and cinnamon sticks.
  3. Warm the Milk: While the tea is steeping, gently warm 1.5 cups of milk in a separate pan over low heat or in the microwave until hot but not boiling. Warming the milk helps to maintain the heat of the final drink and enhances its creamy texture.
  4. Combine Ingredients: Stir 1 tablespoon of maple syrup and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract into the steeped tea to add natural sweetness and depth of flavor. Then pour in the warmed milk and stir gently to blend all the ingredients thoroughly.
