For the Crostini:
- 1 French baguette, sliced into ½-inch pieces
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
For the Steak:
- 1 pound flank or skirt steak
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 1 cup whipped cream cheese or herbed goat cheese
- 1 cup arugula or baby greens
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves (optional garnish)
- Balsamic glaze, for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven and toast the baguette: Preheat the oven to 400°F. Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet, brush with olive oil, and toast until golden and crisp.
- Season and cook the steak: Season steak with salt, pepper, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, and balsamic vinegar. Cook on a grill pan or skillet until desired doneness.
- Assemble the crostini: Spread cheese on toasted baguette slices, top with arugula, steak slices, thyme, and balsamic glaze.
- Serve: Serve immediately and enjoy!

- You can substitute the cream cheese with horseradish sauce for extra kick.
