Brownies:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate (chopped or chips)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
Spider Web Topping:
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips or candy melts
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional, for easier piping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven and prepare pan: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt butter and chocolate: In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and chocolate together until smooth. Remove from heat.
- Combine ingredients: Whisk in sugar, then eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla. Sift in flour, salt, and cocoa powder, stirring until combined.
- Bake: Pour batter into pan and bake for 25–30 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs. Cool brownies completely.
- Make spider web: Melt white chocolate chips and coconut oil, then pipe onto brownies in a spiral pattern. Drag lines from the center outward with a toothpick to create a web effect. Allow to set before slicing.
