Ingredients
Linguine or Spaghetti:
8 oz;
Large Shrimp:
1 lb, peeled and deveined;
Olive Oil:
2 tablespoons;
Garlic:
4 cloves, minced;
Crushed Red Pepper Flakes:
1/2 teaspoon (adjust to taste);
Smoked Paprika:
1/2 teaspoon;
Salt:
1/4 teaspoon;
Black Pepper:
1/4 teaspoon;
Diced Tomatoes:
1 can (14.5 oz), drained;
Heavy Cream:
1/2 cup;
Parmesan Cheese:
1/4 cup, grated;
Lemon Juice:
1 tablespoon;
Fresh Parsley:
2 tablespoons, chopped
Instructions
- Cook Pasta: Cook pasta according to package directions, drain, and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
- Sauté Shrimp: In a skillet, sauté shrimp, garlic, red pepper flakes, paprika, salt, and pepper until shrimp is cooked, then remove and set aside.
- Prepare Sauce: In the same skillet, cook tomatoes, then add cream, Parmesan, and lemon juice. Simmer until slightly thickened.
- Combine: Return shrimp to the pan, add pasta, and toss to coat. Adjust consistency with reserved pasta water.
- Serve: Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

- Add spinach or sun-dried tomatoes for extra texture and flavor.
- Use half-and-half for a lighter version or increase red pepper flakes for extra heat.
