Description

Indulge in the rich and creamy flavors of this delectable Seafood Lasagna, a luxurious twist on a classic dish. Layers of lasagna noodles, succulent shrimp, scallops, lump crab meat, and a decadent white sauce come together to create a mouthwatering seafood sensation.

Ingredients

Scale

For the White Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 pound shrimp, peeled, deveined, and chopped
  • 1/2 pound scallops, chopped
  • 1/2 pound lump crab meat
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Juice of half a lemon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven and cook the noodles: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. Sauté the seafood: In a skillet, sauté onion and garlic. Add shrimp, scallops, and crab meat. Season and cook until just opaque. Set aside.
  3. Make the white sauce: In a saucepan, melt butter, whisk in flour, add milk and cream, and cook until thickened. Stir in Parmesan, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  4. Assemble the lasagna: Layer noodles, seafood mixture, ricotta, mozzarella, and white sauce in a baking dish. Repeat layers and top with remaining noodles, white sauce, and mozzarella.
  5. Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 15 minutes until golden. Rest before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute the seafood with your favorite cooked lobster or firm white fish.
  • Make ahead and refrigerate overnight for richer flavor.
