Ingredients
Scale
Cream Mixture
- 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 8 ounces mascarpone cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Soaking Mixture
- 1 1/2 cups raspberry jam or preserves
- 1/4 cup orange juice or raspberry liqueur
Assembly
- 1 package (7 ounces) ladyfingers (about 24)
- 2 cups fresh raspberries (plus extra for garnish)
- Powdered sugar or white chocolate shavings for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Cream: In a large bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream until soft peaks form. Add the softened mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract, then continue to beat until the mixture is smooth, fluffy, and well combined.
- Make Soaking Mixture: In a separate bowl, combine the raspberry jam with the orange juice or raspberry liqueur, stirring until thoroughly mixed to create a flavorful soaking liquid for the ladyfingers.
- Assemble First Layer: Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the raspberry soaking mixture just long enough to soak without becoming soggy, then line the bottom of an 8×8-inch dish or trifle bowl with the dipped ladyfingers to form the first layer.
- Add Cream and Raspberries: Spread half of the mascarpone cream evenly over the layer of ladyfingers, then scatter a layer of fresh raspberries on top of the cream for freshness and tartness.
- Repeat Layers: Repeat the process with another layer of dipped ladyfingers, followed by the remaining mascarpone cream, and finish with more fresh raspberries on top.
- Chill: Cover the assembled tiramisu with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours to allow the flavors to meld and the dessert to set properly; overnight chilling is best for optimal texture and taste.
- Garnish and Serve: Before serving, garnish with additional fresh raspberries and dust with powdered sugar or sprinkle with white chocolate shavings if desired for a decorative and tasty finish.
Notes
- You can replace raspberry jam with strawberry or mixed berry jam depending on your flavor preference.
- To make this recipe alcohol-free, use only orange juice instead of raspberry liqueur in the soaking mixture.
- Best enjoyed within 2 days for optimal texture and freshness.
