Description

Pumpkin Pie Crescents with Maple Glaze are a delightful fall treat combining flaky crescent roll dough filled with a spiced pumpkin mixture, baked to golden perfection and drizzled with a sweet maple glaze. Perfect for dessert or a snack, these easy-to-make crescents capture the warm flavors of pumpkin pie with a convenient twist.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Pumpkin Pie Crescents

  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough (8-count)
  • ½ cup canned pumpkin purée
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • ½ tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt

For the Maple Glaze

  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 1–2 tsp milk (as needed for consistency)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Baking Sheet: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ensure even baking.
  2. Mix Pumpkin Filling: In a small bowl, combine the canned pumpkin purée, brown sugar, pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Stir until the mixture is well blended and aromatic.
  3. Prepare Crescents: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 triangles. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the pumpkin filling onto the wide end of each triangle, leaving a small border to prevent spilling.
  4. Roll Crescents: Carefully roll each triangle up from the wide end toward the pointed end, slightly tucking in the sides to keep the filling secure during baking.
  5. Bake: Place the rolled crescents on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until they turn golden brown and puffed.
  6. Prepare Maple Glaze: While the crescents bake, whisk together powdered sugar, maple syrup, and 1 to 2 teaspoons of milk in a small bowl. Adjust the milk quantity until you achieve a smooth, pourable consistency.
  7. Glaze and Serve: Allow the crescents to cool slightly once out of the oven. Drizzle the maple glaze generously over the warm pastries. Serve immediately or at room temperature for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • Best enjoyed the day they are made for optimal freshness and texture.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator and quickly reheated in the microwave for a few seconds.
  • For extra crunch and flavor, sprinkle chopped pecans on top of the glaze before it sets.
