For the Chicken:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (plain or Italian-style)
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp dried Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 large eggs (beaten)
- 2 tbsp olive oil (for pan-frying)
For the Creamy Garlic Sauce:
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Pound the chicken breasts: Using a meat mallet, pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness.
- Coat the chicken: In a shallow bowl, mix Parmesan, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Dip each chicken breast in beaten eggs, then coat in breadcrumb-Parmesan mixture.
- Cook the chicken: Heat olive oil in a skillet. Cook chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Transfer to a plate and cover.
- Make the sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter, add garlic, flour, chicken broth, heavy cream, and Parmesan. Simmer until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve: Pour the sauce over the chicken and serve immediately.
