Description

This no bake chocolate cheesecake is a rich and creamy dessert featuring a crunchy Oreo cookie crust and a luscious chocolate-infused cream cheese filling. Perfect for any occasion, it requires no oven baking and sets beautifully in the refrigerator for a smooth, decadent treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Crust

  • 2 3/4 cups (369g) Oreo cookie crumbs
  • 5 tbsp (70g) melted butter

Filling

  • 24 oz (678g) cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup (104g) sugar
  • 3 tbsp (22g) cocoa powder
  • 8 oz melted semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1 1/4 cups (300ml) cold heavy whipping cream
  • 3/4 cup (86g) powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Toppings

  • Whipped cream (for garnish)
  • Chocolate shavings or other toppings (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crust: In a mixing bowl, combine the Oreo cookie crumbs with the melted butter until the mixture is evenly coated. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form the crust. Place it in the refrigerator to chill and firm up while you prepare the filling.
  2. Make the Filling: In a large bowl, beat the room temperature cream cheese with sugar and cocoa powder until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Gradually incorporate the melted semi-sweet chocolate, mixing well to combine. In a separate bowl, whip the cold heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese and chocolate mixture to keep the texture light and airy.
  3. Assemble: Spread the chocolate cream cheese filling evenly over the chilled Oreo crust. Smooth the top with a spatula for an even surface. Cover the cheesecake and refrigerate for at least 5 hours or preferably overnight to allow it to set completely.
  4. Serve: Once the cheesecake is firm and set, remove it from the refrigerator. Decorate the top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings or other preferred toppings. Slice the cheesecake and serve chilled to enjoy its rich, creamy texture.

Notes

  • For best results, ensure the cream cheese is at room temperature before mixing to avoid lumps.
  • Use a springform pan to make removal of the cheesecake easier and neater.
  • Refrigerate the cheesecake overnight if possible for optimal texture and flavor.
  • Chocolate shavings, additional crushed Oreos, or fresh berries make excellent garnish options.
  • This cheesecake can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
