  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin

  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Cheese Sauce:

  • 1 cup shredded Mexican blend cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon cream cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce (optional)
  • Chopped cilantro and diced tomatoes for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the Chicken: In a small bowl, combine chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Rub the seasoning mix over both sides of the chicken breasts.
  2. Cook the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 6–7 minutes per side, or until cooked through and golden brown. Remove the chicken and keep warm.
  3. Make the Cheese Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce heat to low and add the heavy cream, milk, and cream cheese. Stir until smooth and slightly thickened. Add the shredded cheese and stir continuously until melted and creamy. Add hot sauce if desired.
  4. Combine and Serve: Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon cheese sauce over the top. Simmer for 1–2 minutes. Garnish with chopped cilantro and diced tomatoes before serving.
