Ingredients
Scale
Salmon:
- 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
Glaze:
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Additional:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Prepare the Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together maple syrup, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic, and black pepper.
- Marinate the Salmon: Place salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour half of the glaze over them, turning to coat. Let marinate for 15–30 minutes in the refrigerator.
- Preheat and Sear: Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear salmon skin-side up for 2–3 minutes until lightly browned.
- Bake: Flip fillets, brush with reserved glaze, and transfer to the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until salmon flakes easily with a fork.
- Serve: Drizzle with any remaining glaze before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, sprinkle salmon with chopped fresh parsley or green onions before serving.
- If using farmed salmon, reduce cook time slightly to prevent overcooking.
