Description

Jalapeño Popper Stuffed Rolls combine creamy cream cheese, sharp cheddar, smoky bacon, and spicy jalapeños wrapped in soft, golden-baked pizza dough. These flavorful, bite-sized rolls make a perfect appetizer or snack for parties, game days, or anytime you crave a spicy, cheesy treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Dough and Filling

  • 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated pizza dough or crescent roll dough sheet
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 23 jalapeños, seeded and finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Topping

  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • Optional: extra shredded cheddar cheese
  • Optional: sliced jalapeños
  • Optional: chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Baking Sheet: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and make for easy cleanup.
  2. Mix Filling Ingredients: In a medium bowl, thoroughly mix together the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, finely chopped jalapeños, garlic powder, and salt until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  3. Roll Out Dough: Roll out the refrigerated pizza dough into a rectangle roughly 12 by 8 inches, creating an even surface for spreading the filling.
  4. Spread Jalapeño Mixture: Evenly spread the prepared jalapeño cream cheese mixture over the entire surface of the rolled-out dough.
  5. Roll and Slice: Starting from the long edge of the rectangle, tightly roll the dough into a log shape. Slice this log into 12 even pieces to create uniform rolls.
  6. Arrange and Add Toppings: Place each sliced roll cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter. If desired, sprinkle extra cheddar cheese or place a sliced jalapeño on top of each roll for added flavor and presentation.
  7. Bake: Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 15 to 18 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  8. Cool and Serve: Allow the rolls to cool slightly on the baking sheet before serving warm to enjoy the best texture and flavor.

Notes

  • Wear gloves when handling jalapeños to avoid skin irritation from the capsaicin.
  • These rolls are best served warm but can be reheated in a toaster oven or air fryer to maintain crispness.
  • For more heat, omit seeding the jalapeños or add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the filling.
  • Feel free to garnish with chopped fresh parsley for color and freshness.
