Description

Delicious and healthy Grilled Chicken Broccoli Bowls topped with a rich and creamy garlic Parmesan sauce. Perfect for a quick 30-minute meal that balances lean protein and fresh vegetables with a flavorful homemade sauce.

Ingredients

Scale

Protein & Vegetables

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 4 cups broccoli florets

Seasonings & Cooking Fats

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp butter

Sauce Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat Grill: Preheat your grill to medium heat to ensure it reaches the perfect temperature for cooking the chicken evenly and achieving a golden brown crust.
  2. Season and Grill Chicken: Brush the chicken breasts with olive oil and season them generously with salt and pepper. Place them on the preheated grill and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until the chicken is cooked through and has a beautiful golden brown color.
  3. Prepare Broccoli: While the chicken grills, steam or blanch the broccoli florets until they become tender but still vibrant green, which should take about 4-5 minutes.
  4. Make Creamy Garlic Sauce: In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and sauté the minced garlic for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  5. Assemble the Bowls: Slice the grilled chicken breasts and arrange them on a bed of the steamed broccoli. Drizzle the creamy garlic Parmesan sauce generously over the top.
  6. Serve: Serve immediately to enjoy the dish warm and fresh with all its flavors perfectly combined.

Notes

  • You can substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter sauce, but it will be less rich.
  • If you don’t have a grill, use a grill pan or a regular skillet on the stovetop for similar results.
  • For a low-carb variation, you can add cauliflower rice or zucchini noodles as a base underneath the broccoli.
  • Make sure not to overcook the broccoli to retain its nutrients and crunch.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
