Description

A quick and easy Garlic Parmesan Pasta made with simple ingredients including garlic, butter, and Parmesan cheese. Ready in just 15 minutes, this creamy and flavorful pasta is perfect for a comforting weeknight meal for two.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (spaghetti or preferred type)
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook Pasta: Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta, reserving 1/4 cup of the pasta water to use in the sauce.
  2. Sauté Garlic: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
  3. Toss Pasta in Garlic Butter: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the garlic butter. Toss well to coat the pasta evenly with the mixture.
  4. Add Parmesan and Pasta Water: Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and the reserved pasta water. Toss continuously to combine and achieve a creamy consistency. Add more pasta water if needed.
  5. Season and Garnish: Season the pasta with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Reserve some pasta water to help create a smooth and creamy sauce.
  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for best flavor and texture.
  • Be careful not to burn the garlic while sautéing as it can turn bitter.
  • This recipe can easily be doubled to serve more people.
  • Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a subtle heat variation.
