Description

Garlic Butter Steak Fried Rice is a delicious and satisfying Asian-inspired dish that combines tender steak, flavorful garlic butter, and hearty fried rice. This recipe is perfect for a quick and tasty weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

Steak:

  • 1 pound steak (sirloin or ribeye, cut into bite-sized pieces)

Garlic Butter Fried Rice:

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter (divided)
  • 4 cups cooked and chilled jasmine or long-grain rice
  • 1 small onion (diced)
  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots (thawed)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 eggs (lightly beaten)
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 green onions (sliced)
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Steak: Season steak pieces with salt and pepper. Cook in butter until seared and cooked to desired doneness. Set aside.
  2. Sauté Vegetables: In the same skillet, cook onion, peas, carrots, and garlic. Push to one side, add beaten eggs, scramble, then mix with vegetables.
  3. Stir-Fry Rice: Add rice, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and butter. Stir-fry to coat evenly. Return steak, mix, and heat through. Top with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

  • Day-old rice works best for fried rice to prevent sogginess.
  • For more flavor, marinate steak in soy sauce and garlic.
  • Steak can be substituted with chicken or shrimp.
