Description

Garlic Butter Steak Bites are tender, juicy pieces of sirloin steak cooked to perfection in a hot skillet and finished with a rich garlic butter sauce and fresh parsley. This quick and easy recipe is perfect for a flavorful weeknight dinner or an impressive appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale

Steak and Seasoning

  • 2 pounds sirloin steak (or your favorite cut of steak), cut into bite-size pieces
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Garlic Butter Sauce

  • 1/2 cup salted butter, softened
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon freshly chopped parsley
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare the steak and garlic butter: Cut the sirloin steak into bite-sized pieces. Season generously with salt and pepper. In a small bowl, combine the softened butter with the minced garlic and set aside to allow the flavors to meld.
  2. Heat the skillet: Place a large cast iron skillet (or regular large skillet) over high heat and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Allow it to heat until it’s very hot but not smoking.
  3. Cook the steak bites in batches: Add the steak pieces in a single layer to the skillet, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for about 4 minutes to achieve medium doneness, stirring occasionally for even cooking.
  4. Add the garlic butter and parsley: During the last minute of cooking each batch, add half of the garlic butter mixture to the skillet. Stir the steak bites continuously until the butter melts and coats the meat evenly. Remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle half of the freshly chopped parsley over the cooked steak bites.
  5. Repeat for the remaining steak: Cook the second batch of steak bites following the same process—heat the oil if needed, cook steak pieces, add garlic butter, stir, and finish with parsley.
  6. Serve warm: Plate the garlic butter steak bites immediately while warm for the best flavor and texture. Enjoy as a hearty main dish or appetizer.

Notes

  • For best flavor, use a cast iron skillet as it retains high heat well, giving the steak a nice sear.
  • Cooking times may vary depending on steak thickness and preferred doneness.
  • You can customize the recipe with your favorite fresh herbs such as thyme or rosemary in addition to parsley.
  • If you prefer, use unsalted butter and adjust salt accordingly.
  • Allow steak to rest a few minutes after cooking for juices to redistribute if desired.
