Description

Garlic Bread Steak Bites feature juicy, tender chunks of seared steak served atop buttery, crispy garlic bread. This crowd-pleasing appetizer or indulgent dinner is packed with bold flavors and can be prepared in under 30 minutes, combining perfectly toasted garlic bread with flavorful seared steak bites for a satisfying bite.

Ingredients

Scale

Steak Bites

  • 1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Garlic Bread

  • 1 French baguette or Italian loaf, sliced into 1-inch pieces
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine the softened butter with minced garlic, chopped parsley, and a pinch of salt. Mix thoroughly until well blended.
  2. Make Garlic Bread: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Spread the prepared garlic butter evenly onto the sliced bread pieces. Arrange them on a baking sheet and bake for 8–10 minutes or until the bread is golden and crispy on the edges.
  3. Season the Steak: While the bread is baking, pat the steak cubes dry using paper towels. Season them with salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika if using. This ensures a flavorful and nice crust on the steak bites.
  4. Sear the Steak Bites: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak cubes in a single layer without overcrowding. Sear them for about 1–2 minutes per side until they develop a brown crust and reach your preferred doneness.
  5. Finish Steak in Garlic Butter: Remove the pan from heat and add 2 tablespoons of butter along with 4 cloves of minced garlic. Toss the steak bites gently to coat them in the melted butter and garlic, allowing the residual heat to infuse the steak with garlic flavor.
  6. Assemble and Garnish: Place a few steak bites on top of each garlic bread slice. Drizzle any remaining garlic butter from the pan over the top. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving immediately to enjoy the crispiness and juicy steak combination.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a splash of Worcestershire sauce or balsamic vinegar to the pan before tossing the steak with butter.
  • Use toasted baguette rounds instead of sliced pieces for a firmer, bite-sized option perfect for parties.
  • Ensure steak cubes are dry before seasoning to achieve a better sear.
  • The smoked paprika is optional but adds a nice smoky depth to the steak bites.
  • Serve immediately to maintain the garlic bread’s crispness and steak’s juiciness.
