Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare Dish: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
- Cook Noodles: Cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain well and set aside to cool slightly.
- Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the drained tuna, frozen peas, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream or mayonnaise, 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir well to create a creamy mixture.
- Add Noodles: Fold the cooked noodles into the tuna mixture, ensuring they are evenly coated with the sauce.
- Assemble in Baking Dish: Pour the noodle and tuna mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
- Add Cheese Topping: Sprinkle additional shredded cheddar cheese on top of the casserole for a golden, cheesy crust.
- Bake: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20–25 minutes until the casserole is bubbling hot and the top is golden brown.
