- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Whisk in the flour and cook for another minute to form a roux. Slowly whisk in the milk and cream, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens, about 3–5 minutes.
- Stir in the Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and oregano. Continue cooking until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly before spreading on pizza dough.
