  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, divided
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

For the Pasta:

  • 12 oz linguine pasta
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook the Linguine: Boil salted water, cook linguine until al dente, drain, and set aside.
  2. Cook the Chicken: Season chicken with salt, pepper, and half of the Italian seasoning. Cook until golden, then set aside.
  3. Prepare the Sauce: Melt butter, add garlic, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, lemon zest, paprika, red pepper flakes, and remaining Italian seasoning. Simmer.
  4. Combine Everything: Return chicken to skillet with linguine and pasta water. Toss in the sauce.
  5. Finish and Serve: Stir in parsley and Parmesan. Garnish with extra parsley.
