Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter and sugars: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
  3. Mix dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients in two additions, alternating with the sour cream, mixing until just combined.
  4. Prepare crumb topping: In a small bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Stir in melted butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  5. Bake: Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets. Flatten slightly, sprinkle with crumb topping, and bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden.
  6. Make glaze: Whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Drizzle over cooled cookies.
