  5. Flambé: Carefully add dark rum, tilt skillet slightly, and ignite alcohol using a long lighter. Allow flames to subside naturally, about 30 seconds.
  6. Serve: Remove from heat, serve bananas immediately over scoops of vanilla ice cream, spooning warm sauce over the top.
