Description

Classic Cheeseburger Sliders feature mini beef patties seasoned with garlic and onion powder, topped with cheddar cheese, and served on slider buns. These delicious, bite-sized burgers are perfect for parties, game days, or casual family meals, baked to perfection in the oven with optional toppings like lettuce, tomato, and pickles.

Ingredients

Scale

Beef Patties

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Assembly

  • 12 slider buns
  • 6 slices cheddar cheese, halved
  • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup, mustard
  • Optional: melted butter for brushing buns

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the sliders later.
  2. Prepare the Beef Patties: In a bowl, combine the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently to blend the seasonings without overworking the meat.
  3. Shape Patties: Divide the seasoned beef mixture into 12 equal portions and shape each into small, slider-sized patties approximately the diameter of the slider buns.
  4. Cook the Patties: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the patties for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until browned but not fully cooked through, as they will finish cooking in the oven.
  5. Assemble the Sliders: Place each partially cooked patty on the bottom half of a slider bun. Top each patty with half a slice of cheddar cheese. Add any optional toppings like lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup, or mustard as desired. Cover with the top halves of the buns.
  6. Optional Butter Brush: For extra flavor and a golden finish, brush the tops of the slider buns with melted butter before baking.
  7. Bake the Sliders: Arrange the assembled sliders on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the patties are fully cooked through.
  8. Serve: Remove from the oven and serve immediately while warm, perfect for sharing at gatherings or family dinners.

Notes

  • For juicier sliders, avoid pressing down on the patties while cooking.
  • Feel free to swap cheddar cheese for your favorite cheese variety like American, Swiss, or pepper jack.
  • Make sliders ahead of time and refrigerate; reheat in the oven before serving.
  • You can add caramelized onions or bacon for an extra flavor boost.
