Ingredients
Scale
Beef Mixture
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Slider Assembly
- 12 slider buns
- 6 slices cheddar cheese, halved
Toppings
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup pickles, sliced
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons mustard
Baking & Finishing
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- Sesame seeds (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the sliders later.
- Cook Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and finely chopped onion until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent. Drain any excess fat to avoid greasiness. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper, then cook for another 2 minutes to meld flavors.
- Assemble Sliders: Place the bottom halves of the slider buns in a baking dish. Spread the cooked beef mixture evenly over the buns. Layer the halved cheddar cheese slices on top of the beef, then place the top buns over the cheese.
- Brush and Bake: Brush the tops of the slider buns with melted butter and, if desired, sprinkle sesame seeds on top. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Then remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes until the cheese is melted and the buns have turned golden brown.
- Add Toppings: Remove the sliders from the oven and carefully lift the top buns. Spread mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard evenly on the inside of the bun tops. Add shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and pickles, then replace the top buns to complete the sliders.
- Serve: Serve the sliders immediately while warm and enjoy their delicious combination of flavors and textures.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add a dash of smoked paprika or chili powder to the beef mixture.
- If you prefer, use different cheese varieties like American or pepper jack.
- To make prep easier, you can prepare the beef mixture ahead and refrigerate for up to 24 hours.
- These sliders can also be warmed up in an air fryer for 3-4 minutes if you want to reheat leftovers.
- Customize toppings to your liking, such as adding sliced jalapeños or avocado.
