Pretzel Crust:
- 3 cups mini pretzels, lightly crushed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
Peanut Butter Caramel:
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Chocolate Ganache:
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup chopped roasted peanuts (optional topping)
- Flaky sea salt for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Pretzel Crust: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper. Mix crushed pretzels, melted butter, and brown sugar. Press into pan.
- Make the Peanut Butter Caramel: In a saucepan, combine peanut butter, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla, and salt. Cook until smooth and bubbling. Pour over crust.
- Bake and Add Chocolate: Bake for 15–18 minutes. Heat cream and pour over chocolate chips to make ganache. Spread over bars. Top with peanuts and sea salt.
- Chill and Serve: Chill bars in the fridge for at least 2 hours before slicing.
Notes
- Bars can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
- For a firmer texture, freeze for 30 minutes before slicing.
- Use crunchy peanut butter for added texture.
