Ingredients
Scale
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh or frozen cherries, pitted
- 1 cup lime juice
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp lime zest
Instructions
- Blend the ingredients: In a blender, combine the cherries, lime juice, water, sugar, and lime zest. Blend until the mixture is completely smooth and evenly mixed, ensuring the flavor is well balanced.
- Prepare molds: Pour the blended mixture into ice pop molds, leaving a little space at the top to allow for expansion as they freeze, preventing spills or cracking.
- Insert sticks and freeze: Place sticks into the molds and freeze for at least 4 hours or until the ice pops are completely solid to ensure they hold their shape when removed.
- Release ice pops: To easily remove the ice pops from the molds, briefly run warm water over the outside of the molds for a few seconds, loosening them without melting the pops.
Notes
- For extra sweetness, adjust the sugar quantity to taste before blending.
- Using frozen cherries can reduce the freezing time slightly since the mixture is already cold.
- Make sure to pit the cherries to avoid any hard bites.
- Try adding a pinch of salt to enhance the lime and cherry flavors.
- These ice pops can be stored in the freezer for up to 2 weeks without losing texture or flavor.
