Description

These Cheesy Gochujang & Spring Onion Swirls are a delightful fusion of Korean flavors and cheesy goodness wrapped in flaky puff pastry. Perfect for a party snack or appetizer.


Ingredients

Puff Pastry:

1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)

Cheese Filling:

1/3 cup cream cheese (softened), 2 tablespoons gochujang (Korean chili paste), 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, 3–4 spring onions (thinly sliced)

Additional:

1 egg (beaten, for egg wash), 1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the Filling: In a small bowl, mix the cream cheese and gochujang until smooth.
  3. Roll the Pastry: Roll out the puff pastry into a rectangle on a floured surface. Spread the gochujang mixture, cheeses, and spring onions evenly. Roll the pastry into a log.
  4. Slice and Bake: Cut the log into rounds, place on the baking sheet, brush with egg wash, sprinkle sesame seeds, and bake for 18–22 minutes until golden.
  5. Serve: Let cool slightly before serving.
