Description

These Cheesy Chicken Crescent Rolls are a delightful and easy-to-make appetizer that is perfect for any occasion. Flaky crescent roll dough filled with a creamy, cheesy chicken mixture, baked to golden perfection.

Ingredients

Scale

For the filling:

  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the rolls:

  • 2 (8-ounce) cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the filling: In a medium bowl, mix the shredded chicken, cheddar cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Fill the rolls: Unroll the crescent dough and separate into triangles. Place a heaping tablespoon of the chicken mixture onto the wide end of each triangle and roll up toward the narrow tip, tucking the sides slightly to seal in the filling.
  4. Bake: Place rolls on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with parsley if using. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown and the filling is heated through.
  5. Serve: Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • You can use leftover rotisserie chicken for convenience.
  • Add cooked bacon bits or chopped green onions to the filling for extra flavor.
  • Serve with ranch or marinara for dipping.
