Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine balsamic vinegar, honey or sugar, and vanilla extract if using. Whisk until smooth.
- Add strawberries and gently toss to coat evenly. Let sit at room temperature for 15-30 minutes to allow flavors to meld and strawberries to release their juices.
- Serve as is, or spoon over vanilla ice cream, yogurt, or shortcake. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
