Main Ingredients
- 12 oz medium egg noodles
- 1 lb ground beef
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 can (10.75 oz) tomato soup
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp minced garlic
- 2 tbsp dried onion flakes
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray and set it aside.
- Cook the Egg Noodles: Cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions until tender. Drain thoroughly and set aside for later use.
- Cook the Ground Beef: Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Brown and crumble the ground beef in the skillet, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. Once cooked, drain any excess grease.
- Prepare the Sauce: In a large mixing bowl, combine the tomato soup, cream of mushroom soup, milk, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, and dried onion flakes. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Combine and Bake: Add the cooked egg noodles and browned ground beef into the bowl with the sauce. Stir thoroughly to evenly combine all ingredients. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.
- Bake and Add Topping: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes. Remove from the oven, sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the top, then return to the oven for an additional 3-5 minutes or until the cheese has melted and is lightly golden.
- Serve: Serve the casserole warm alongside garlic bread and a fresh side salad for a complete, hearty meal.
Notes
- You can substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
- If you prefer a cheesier casserole, feel free to add shredded mozzarella or cheddar along with the Parmesan topping.
- To add more vegetables, consider mixing in sautéed mushrooms, bell peppers, or spinach with the beef.
- Make sure to drain the cooked noodles well to avoid a soggy casserole.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven or microwave.
